About Dr. Brenda D. Howard
Apostle Brenda D. Howard is the Senior Pastor and Overseer of the Tabernacle of Prayer Christian Fellowship in Macon, Georgia. She is an anointed woman of God who strongly believes that “it is the anointing that destroys the yolks.”
Her favorite scripture is I John 5:14-15 (NKJV);
14 Now this is the confidence that we have in Him; that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.
15 And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions we have asked of Him.
Pastor Howard was ordained as Pastor in April, 1996; after the death of the Founder. She worked diligently under his leadership until his death. In 1999 under the direction of the Holy Spirit the church in transition was renamed and the vision to make it a “House of Prayer for all people” progressed forward.
In December of 2009, Pastor Howard, after much prayer, was ordained to the Apostleship by Bishop William B. Gilbert, the Presiding Prelate of Bound by the Covenant Connection. She served as the 1st administrative assistant of the organization for several years.
Apostle Howard received her Bachelors of Arts in Theology in 1999 from Jacksonville Theology Seminary, Masters of Ministry in Counseling in 2005 and the Doctorate of Ministry in Christian Counseling also from Jacksonville Theology Seminary in 2007. She is currently working on her Clinical Counseling Certification.
She is the author of two books entitled, A Prayer Manual: Warring in the Spirit and Decisions (Life Demands That We Make Decisions).
Her vision is to see God’s people growing in the knowledge and wisdom of God. Also, that the people of God will fly like an eagle and fulfill the call of God upon their lives. Ministry has taken her to several countries including the Republic of Panama, London, Africa, Switzerland and Germany.
In 2014, the Tabernacle Network Partners was established. This organization consists of Pastors who come together for fellowship, prayer and spiritual and individual support of one another.
The ministry reaches out in the community by working with the feed the hungry program in the city of Macon, supports clothing and feeding programs, and support many social and spiritual organizations and programs.
The church has an organized Children’s ministry, dance and mime team, women’s and men’s ministry and several outreach programs.
Apostle Brenda D. Howard is the mother of one son and grandmother of two.
